This is the biggest on-campus celebration of the queer and allied community, held during spring quarter annually. Beginning in 2006, the march has generally begun at noon on a Saturday in May at the Quarry Plaza in front of the Bookstore and winds through all the UCSC colleges ending at Lower Street, Kresge College where The Festival begins. The event is open to the public with no admission charge. Sponsored by Kresge Programs Office, the Festival provides visibility for a number of student organizations and campus departments as well as an opportunity for various student performances.

Our Kresge Presents PRIDE event is a largely student-run event associated with the Kresge College Programs Office. It is UCSC’s largest annual queer gathering on campus, consisting of a march and a festival. It focuses on the recognition of LGBTQIA+ identity and serves as a celebration of visibility, dignity, and diversity in our community at UCSC. Each year, we lead a campuswide march with 5-minute activity stops at the residential colleges, followed by a 3-hour festival. This year will be the 17th anniversary of the event and it will follow the theme of “Rock the Rainbow.”
