Kresge Presents: The Colors of Pride, Saturday, May 19

You are invited to the biggest on-campus celebration of the queer and allied community at the 7th Annual Kresge Presents: The Colors of Pride.

A campus-wide march begins at 12:00pm at the Quarry Plaza in front of the Bookstore.

The Festival starts at 2:00pm at Lower Street, Kresge College and runs until 5pm. This event is open to the public with no admission charge. It is sponsored by Kresge Parliament, Kresge Multicultural Education Committee, Kresge Programs, SUA, RA Council, and the UCSC Colleges.

Free food will be provided by Aloha Island Grille and the Saturn Cafe. Performances will be given by Beaver Fever, Queer Fashion Show, Hightone and many others. There will be free arts and crafts, prizes, giveaways and more.

The keynote speaker this year will be Aurora Guerrero who directed the film, Mosquita y Mari. This film deals with the coming of age of two young Chicanas and the development of their intimate relationship. On Friday, May 18, there will be a free screening followed by Questions and Answers in the Media Theatre sponsored by El Centro.
